Joel has a degree in Consumer Economics (B.S.F.C.S) from the University of Georgia and a law degree (J.D.) from the Charleston School of Law. He utilizes his legal education daily, both in the business world and via volunteer work. Consumer Economics is essentially the sociology of economics – a particular emphasis is placed on individual consumers and their function within the marketplace such as buying behaviors, purchasing trends, and consumerism. With his education and experience combined, Joel understands concepts that sit at the intersection of legal affairs, business strategy, and economics – ideas such as presence in territory, compliance with municipal and federal regulations, market position, and the importance of organizational efficiency are all areas he helps GSG’s Client excel in.
